Ready to Use EXCEL CLEAR #96 X-L 96 IS NOW MIR COMPLIANT

Description X-L 96 is a 1K, ready to use clear coat in an aerosol. It is used for finishing coated surfaces in order to achieve a high gloss, UV resistant, durable finish. A new high performance clear coat that gives 2K performance with the convenience of an aerosol. X-L 96 is the ultimate repair tool. It is crystal clear, has excellent build and is compatible with water-based base coats. The cured X-L 96 has excellent gloss and image depth it is ideal for spot repairs and gives a durable, UV resistant finish. X-L 96 is isocyanate free.

Surface preparation and instructions for use X-L 96 can be applied using the preparation procedure shown below: Thoroughly clean and degrease surfaces with a suitable spirit wipe or thinner such as Excel Products Wax & Grease Remover. Abrade solid colored coatings wet or dry with 800-1000 abrasive, re-clean, dry and degrease. If coating solvent-based basecoats apply X-L 96 within a period 20 minutes after application of the base coat. Application Shake can thoroughly before use for a minimum of 2 minutes. Apply 1-2 light even coats. Allow 5-10 minutes flash off time between coats. Drying time Allow 30 minutes before handling. Drying time is dependent upon film thickness, humidity and temperature.
